How to Customize Icons and Colors

Customizing your store locator’s appearance helps you match it to your brand and theme. Follow the steps below to update marker icons, colors, and styling:

Step 1: Open the Customize Page

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.

  2. Go to Apps → Store Locator by Byte Apps.

  3. From the app menu, open Customize.

Step 2: Choose Your Marker/Icon Style

  1. Find the Marker / Icon section.

  2. Select the icon style you want to use for your locations.

  3. If available, choose different styles for default and active/selected states.

Step 3: Update Colors

  1. In the Colors section, pick your preferred:

    • Icon color

    • Marker color

    • Active marker color

  2. Adjust until it matches your storefront design.

Step 4: Save and Preview

  1. Click Save to apply your changes.

  2. Preview your storefront and verify:

    • Icons display correctly

    • Colors match your theme

    • Selected locations use the active color/state as expected
