Theme Integration (Modern Shopify Themes)
Subcollection Category Surf is designed to work seamlessly with Online Store 2.0 themes, using Shopify's native app block system. Integrating the app into your store is quick and requires no coding.
Steps to integrate:
- Go to your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes.
- Click “Customize” on your live theme.
- Navigate to any collection page.
- In the left-hand sidebar, click “Add section” or “Add block” (depending on theme structure).
- Look for “Subcollection Category Surf” and add the block.
- Position the block where you want it (e.g., above or below product grid).
- Click Save.
Once added, the app will start showing the mapped subcollections according to your configurations in the app dashboard. For best results, ensure the collection mappings are already saved before adding the app block.
This method is fully supported for themes like Dawn, Sense, Refresh, Ride, and most premium themes built with Shopify 2.0 standards.
