Customizing Design & Styling
With Subcollection Category Surf, you're not locked into a generic design. The app gives you full flexibility to adjust colors, fonts, image shapes, and more—so the subcollection blocks blend seamlessly with your store's brand identity.
To customize the design:
- Go to the “Design” tab inside the app interface.
- Start with basic visual preferences:
- Choose the font family, size, and weight for collection titles.
- Adjust the text color, background color, and border radius of your subcollection cards.
- Select image aspect ratio: square, portrait, or landscape depending on your product photography.
- Enhance user interactivity with hover effects (e.g., zoom-in, grayscale) and button styles for “View All” links.
- Use the Live Preview section to see how your block will look across different devices before applying changes.
For merchants with advanced design needs, the app also includes a Custom CSS input box at the bottom of the page. This allows full control over specific styles and responsive behavior beyond what’s available in the visual settings.
Tip: Try to keep your block design consistent with your store’s overall UI—font styles, button shapes, and padding should align with your theme for the best user experience.
Once everything looks right, click Save and refresh your storefront to view the updated design live.
