Configuring the Main Block Settings

After installing Subcollection Category Surf, your first step is to define how the subcollection blocks should appear on your Shopify store's collection pages. The Main Block Settings section controls the overall layout and display logic of these blocks.

To set it up:

1. Open your Shopify Admin panel and launch the Subcollection Category Surf app.
2. Navigate to the “Main Block Settings” tab in the menu.
3. Choose your desired layout style:
   • Grid Layout for a structured, tile-like look.
   • Slider Layout for a more dynamic, scrollable carousel.
4. Set the number of subcollections to show per row (e.g., 2, 3, 4, etc.), depending on your store’s layout width.
5. Decide what content you want to display:
   • Collection title
   • Collection featured image
   • Optional “View All” button to link directly to the subcollection page

Additionally, you can choose to enable mobile responsiveness and spacing between elements to improve user experience on all devices.

Pro Tip: For best results, use uniform images for all your collections and keep titles short and descriptive. This creates a cleaner and more professional storefront.

Once you’ve completed your customizations, hit Save Settings. Your chosen layout and display options will instantly apply to your live theme, with no need for manual theme edits.
